The Museum of Discovery and Science

The Museum of Discovery and Science provides children and adults an opportunity to experience science and their environment through exhibits, programs and films.

A number of exhibits are of special interest to children. One of the newest exhibits is called "Aviation Station." Visitors experience what it is like to fly a DC-9 commercial aircraft. Climb into the pilot's seat and pretend to fly this aircraft model. Another part of the exhibit provides a place for visitors to experience what it might feel like to fly like a bird by putting on wings and stepping into a giant wind tunnel. This demonstrates the forces of flight that allow airplanes to fly.
