EWCO Group, Promstroiproekt Establish an Understanding

MOSCOW -- Design Institute ZAO Promstroiproekt of Moscow, and Propeum partner East West Consultants (EWCO Group) of Moscow and Helsinki have reached an understanding that ensures Propeum’s ability to address construction design-related problems suffered by Westerners in Russia.

Mr. Andrey B. Shavkunov, ZAO Promstroiproekt General Director, holds the title, “Honoured Builder of Russia.” He recently met with Mr. Raimo Katila, Managing Director of East West Consultants(EWCO Group), and leaders from Propeum USA: Mr. Tapio Pietilä, Partner, and Ms. Frances Hume, Managing Member.

Design Institute Promstroiproekt(PSP LLP) is a pioneer in industrial design. It provides technical- and economic investigations on which to base investments, pioneers engineering solutions, and constructs projects. Its range from residential and office buildings, through light- and heavy industrial facilities, to oil and natural gas pipelines and uranium deposit extraction facilities.

Promstroiproekt is now designing a residential tower that, at 87 stories (333 meters), will be one of Moscow’s tallest structures. Referred to in this early stage only as “Plat 16”, it will provide 430,000 m² of living space.

Among more than 1,500 objects designed since its launch in the 1930s, PSP LLP designed what is now Russia’s oldest automobile manufacturing plant, the Moscow-based ZIL plant; the first GAZ automotive manufacturing plant; and the first airplane manufacturing plant in Ulyanovsk.
